Flexipol clear pouches in 130 micron are the heavy-duty end of the range, designed for chamber machine sealing where a standard gauge will not survive the product or the handling.
Butchers and meat processors use 130 micron for bone-in cuts and premium joints where a puncture means a lost pack. Cheese makers and dairy producers choose it for long-hold and sous vide work. Fish smokers use it where the product is heavy or has sharp edges, and clarity still matters for inspection and presentation.
At 130 micron, this is roughly twice the film thickness of our standard 65 micron clear pouches. That gives maximum puncture resistance through handling, stacking and transport. Clarity stays high across the full thickness, so branded product remains visible. The material is food-contact safe and manufactured under BRC AA certification, the highest food-safety grade in UK food packaging manufacture, meeting the standards required by major UK supermarket supply chains. Flexipol is an M&S approved supplier.
Flexipol is the only true UK film extruder selling vacuum pouches direct to SMEs. Extruding the film gives control over gauge accuracy and sealing characteristics rather than inheriting whatever specification a third party supplied, which is what keeps results consistent order to order.
These pouches are for chamber vacuum machines only, the industrial standard in professional kitchens and processing facilities. They are not suitable for domestic edge sealers or FoodSaver-style machines.
To choose within this range, consider your product dimensions and how the packs will be handled. 130 micron earns its cost where product is bone-in, heavy, stacked in cold storage or handled repeatedly. For lighter everyday work, our 65 micron clear range is the more economical choice, and our 80 micron gold range covers retail display. Order by 12pm for next-working-day UK delivery, free over £120.
