Supervac is an Austrian maker whose machines turn up in UK meat and fish processing more than in shops: double-chamber floor models with a swing lid, long seal bars and a pump built for a full shift. They take smooth PA/PE pouches, which is what we make, and the questions that come with them are about volume rather than compatibility.
Sizing for long bars
Supervac tabletops have bars in the usual 300 to 450mm range, but the double-chamber machines have bars of 500mm to well over a metre, often two per chamber. That opens up the large-format pouches and the option of running several pouches per cycle.

Keep each pouch 20mm inside the bar ends and 20mm apart from its neighbour so the openings don't overlap. The size guide lists the full range.
Running two-up and three-up
The throughput of a double-chamber machine comes from filling the bar. On a pair of 650mm bars, three 200×300mm pouches or two 300×400mm per bar is normal, which is four to six packs per cycle. Lay the openings flat, use the bag clips if fitted, and don't let the product of one pouch sit on the opening of the next. The seal settings don't change with the number of pouches; the bar heats evenly along its length.
Settings
-
65 micron: full vacuum, standard seal time. Same window as any smooth PA/PE pouch.
-
130 micron: one step more seal time for bone-in primals. The bone-in guide covers guards and vacuum level.
-
Gas flush: where fitted, no change to the pouch. The polyamide barrier holds a modified atmosphere the same way it holds a vacuum.
-
Soft product: vacuum stop at 90 to 95%.
Consistency at volume
At several thousand packs a week, what matters is that the seal window doesn't move between boxes. Our pouches come from one site and one film spec with batch traceability on the box, so a programme set in January still seals in June. The processing guide covers the documents a technical manager will want, colour coding for line separation and pallet ordering.
Ordering for a line
The shop handles orders to £2,000 with free next-day delivery over £120. For pallet quantities or a standing order, email orders@flexipol.co.uk with sizes and monthly volume for a quote, scheduled deliveries and Net 30 terms. Bespoke sizes and gauges for a specific line are made to order at Haslingden.
Trialling on the line? Ask for a sample pack in the primal sizes and run a shift on our film before committing to a pallet.
